Lots of New Listings in My Etsy Shop!

Check it out! I’ve just spent the last couple of days overhauling my shop, updating prices, changing shipping methods and costs, and adding 15 new listings…yes 15…can you say PROCRASTINATOR! Yup, that’s me. Now with that huge listing hump over I can get back to making and creating. What’s next? More stud earrings, more recycled beer bottle boxes, and dresses. Too many ideas and too little time. Well, here you go to a nice peek on some of my newest favorite creations. Check em’ out, buy them up!

These adorable and funny miniature envelopes are sure to put a smile on someone’s face no matter what the occasion is. They are great for stringing up for decorating like a garland, they are adorable in scrapbooks and can be used in paper crafts, and they are so cute that they can be given away to your party guests with little treats inside. They are created from recycled paper from the deteriorating book, “Cats” by David Coffey, dated 1978. Reusable with the hemp tie to hold them close. Set of 10.

These are one of a kind pine wood beads that have been cut with a miter saw, finished with a dremel, and drilled to be ready for stringing. They are double-sided with one side painted either pink, black, or yellow, and the other side stained in an oak finish. These are trully unique beads.

Newest Listing in My Etsy Shop: Upcycled Angry Orchard Beer Box to Journal

I’ve always had a slight fascination with book-binding techniques. My first shot at book-binding was with the animal shelter cat and dog educational books, you can see them here. From there I wanted to continue my book-binding exploration.

I had an empty Angry Orchard beer bottle box sitting on my kitchen counter when I realized how beautiful the artwork on the beer box was. I decided that I would try my hand at book-binding using the cardboard from this box and left over notebook paper from the days when I attended a physical college class. I hand-cut all of the notebook paper in the journal, along with the actual cardboard from the Angry Orchard box, and the scrapbook paper that lines the inside of the journal. I used traditional book-binding methods which required developing several signatures, poking holes in the side for thread, sewing all of the pages together, and glueing everything in place. I also created a place marker out of left over yarn braided and placed at the top of the notebook. I am very proud of my work, especially for having such limited experience in book-binding.

This pocket-sized journal is made from an upcycled Angry Orchard beer bottle box. Inside it contains hand cut notebook papers from unused college lined school notebooks. Inside it is lined with a piece of black scrapbook paper to accentuate the original artwork. It also has a braided acrylic yarn place marker located at the top that is great for when you need to mark your spot in a hurry. This little pocket book may be small but it’s great for jotting down your grand ideas and inspiration as it hits. It can be used many ways such as a personal or technical notebook, a poetry journal, a diary, a sketchbook, an idea book, as a place for your to do list, or just about anything you can imagine.This pocket-sized journal is created using traditional book-making methods. It’s made from 8 signatures consisting of 10 pages each that are sewn and glued together along the spine of the notebook.This notebook measures:
6 inches long (15.25 cm)
3.5 inches wide (9 cm)
½ inch thick (1.3cm)
and consists of 80 pages (160 pages if you count the backside)

Making it great for carrying in a backpack, a purse, a fanny pack, or even your back pocket but it’s large enough to record all of your newest ideas!
